My wife and I were involved in a trade exchange for 6 years.

During this period we grew accustomed to trading as means of giving us access to various products and services such as restaurant meals, window washing services, health and beauty products, printing, gardening, holidays, car maintenance and repairs, purchase and sale of vehicles, grocery supplies, florists, clothing, and jewellery. You name it, we had it.

So why did we decide to leave and create our own?

Very simple – our former trade exchange became unaffordable to us.  There were cash charges for just about everything: joining fee, monthly membership fee, percentage of each trade in each direction … so the more we traded, the more we paid, and there were all sorts of other fees if we didn’t trade for a while!  This is how traditional trade exchanges have worked up to now.  It got too much for us, and we had to leave: and we thought, “we can’t be the only ones!”

But we did start missing the little luxuries we had got used to getting on trade and would otherwise be unable to afford.

That’s when we decided to create our own Trade Exchange community that would help its members to get through hard times and make the best of their business, with the crucial difference that we would give them the opportunity to trade without worrying about how much cash they would have to pay at the end of the month.

We operate on a simple financial principle: it costs £5 a month to be a member. That’s it: nothing more to pay.  Anything
that you trade will be at your true cost and therefore not taking your valuable profit away from you, but keeping it in your pocket.
